My goal was to have a daily-use backpack for going to and from the office and for business trips. Unfortunately, it is a little too small for those needs. As a suggestion, though it may interfere with the photography aesthetic, it is helpful to have photos that include the model height so that a customer can get a sense for relative bag size. I'm 6'0" so the bag just felt too small on me.
On the other hand, the material, design, and construction are top-notch so I have no doubt it will last for a long time.
Pros: Quality, Fabric
Cons: small size

This is an elegant solution to a recent dilemma: how do I carry what I need each day in an efficient and elegant manner? I turned a corner and sold three "famous maker" messenger bags, one "famous maker day pack", and one "famous maker" lap top bag in order to start from scratch to solve this problem. (I ride a fixed gear but am not a messenger, and I do not own a laptop as I prefer to write letters for communication). This pack solves my problem in an elegant and sleek manner. I like the materials and fit the best, as well as its sleek appearance. I think I can get one of my small Leica cameras in it along with a water bottle. I would add one feature: a piece of webbing or such to attach my keys, which I always have to fish out. That said, if like me you want less clutter, get one of these.

I love the way this pack looks, and the way it fits. It's extremely comfortable. The wool straps are a very nice touch.
In the end, I found this pack to be too "pared down" for my needs and I wish I could have known this based on the photos so I wouldn't have to return it (wasting resources to send this beauty back to Portland). It really is disappointing that there are so few photos demonstrating the interior of the pack.
I used it to go to and from work. There is one mesh pocket that's 6x8 that is the first thing you see when you fold back the flap, and can almost hold a billfold and smartphone vertically next to one another.
The next pocket is in the main compartment. This pocket contains a vertical pocket - which could hold an iPod or a digital camera, or a cell phone. Next to it there are two vertical pen slots. I have a thickish fountain pen that I wasn't able to put in here.
With the additional product photos I'm not sure I would have ever purchased this pack to begin with.
I would recommend this if you were looking for a ~700 cu in pack to hold a sack lunch, 32oz water bottle, and a paper notebook and a windbreaker, but not much else.

This bag has changed my life! As a girl approaching 30, going back to grad school presented a problem.. how to carry my laptop and school books. The options in backpacks weren't so pretty, and let's face it, messenger bags have a narrow range of comfort with which you can carry heavy items before you start to resemble the leaning tower of Pisa. This bag accommodates my laptop in a convenient sleeve, allowing a few (smaller) books to sink nicely to the bottom of the bag, leaving room for my lunch and sometimes even my water bottle. Bottom line, it looks small, but it's mighty. The bulk has been taken out of the traditional backpack while still allowing for a great carrying capacity which is very comfortable. The straps stay on my narrow framed shoulders and the lap belt makes me wonder if I forgot my computer at home? Nope, it's still in there. The Ultimate test - squeezing onto a packed NYC subway train without taking down any straphangers. I can carry what I need and look good doing it. Don't get me started with how functional it is on my bike..

A very good backpack, made out of good fabric... which makes it even more disappointing to discover faulty stitches where the lid connects to the rest.

Cons: Quality
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is by far the best backpack I've owned. It's comfortable, fits well on my back, and has plenty of room. My 13" laptop fits well in it and seems to be thoroughly protected.
It looks classy, so I bring it to business meetings. It feels solid and well-built, and so far, after about seven months, is holding up beautifully.
